Enquiring mind and transformation

Throughout this semester, I have constantly been challenged, pushed to face and overcome these challenges, and to transform myself, my learning and my beliefs. I believe an enquiring mind is essential in extending on our learning. It is what we use to challenge our thinking and refine our ideas. An enquiring mind is an essential component of being a teacher. It is through reflection and an enquiring mind that we are able to analyse our practice and determine what is and isn’t working, fixing those that need it, improving our practice and enhancing the teaching and learning experience for all those involved, by making it the best possible space.

This process is enhanced through the collaboration and communication with others, as it sheds light on different perspectives, insights and beliefs. It is through this collaboration and communication we are able to step into the liminal space and transform through our connections with each other and the process of moving through the liminal space. An enquiring mind needs to be open to challenges and other perspectives and ideas. It needs to be analytical and critical.

What a journey EDFD459 has been, filled with so many transformative challenges. My learning in this unit will stay with me forever and continually challenge me to push myself. Applying my knowledge to a global context has been particularly challenging for me, but what I have got out of this experience will enhance my practice in every shape and form.
